Desiree Ofodile

Desiree Ofodile is a board-certified Physician Assistant dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care. She earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from East Carolina University and her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Her passion for psychiatry stems from a deep interest in understanding the complexities of mental health and its impact on overall well-being. During her training, Desiree formed meaningful connections with patients in psychiatric settings and was drawn to the opportunity to help individuals navigate their mental health journeys at GPW Psychiatry. She is committed to reducing stigma, advocating for accessible care, and fostering a supportive environment where patients feel heard and empowered.

Outside of work, Desiree enjoys exploring new cuisines, traveling the world, and getting lost in a good book. Whether trying a new local eatery, planning her next adventure, or diving into a compelling novel, she values experiences that broaden her perspective and enrich her personal and professional life.
